To The Beyond @ This Year’s Latin Alternative Music Conference

Yes, yes.  It’s the time of year for the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), where artists, entrepreneurs and more converge upon NYC to exchange with each other, politic on current music biz trends and plot collectively on how to take “alternative” Latin sounds even higher across borders to new ears.  NPR’s Alt Latino previewed the conference as did the New York Daily News.

If you know me, you know my history working for LAMC in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 editions; I reflected on the conference last year after attending as someone in the biz.  Read that piece here called “LAMC + Roots-Based Future Music…A Personal History.”

In honor of the fest and to take advantage of all the great folks in town, I leave y’all with some exciting shows I’m a part of that coincide with the conference.  Some are even free with an LAMC badge.  Get involved and see you out there!
