LOS RAKAS | http://www.losrakas.com/
Los Rakas represent pan-American flows. Two cousins who grew up in Panama before spending their teens in Oakland, California, Raka Dun and Raka Rich put a distinctive “Panabay” twist on hip-hop and reggae, bridging the streetwise sounds of the places they’ve called home. Drawing on Panamanian plena’s faithful approach to reggae classics and the Bay Area’s independent and idiosyncratic hip-hop scene, Los Rakas merge familiar dancehall melodies with a lyricism all their own. Their debut EP ‘Chancletas y Camisetas Bordada’ (Soy Raka LLC) hit #1 on the iTunes Reggateon/Hip-Hop Chart and the group continues to release a steady stream of tracks, solo EPs, remixes, mixtapes (including 2006’s Panabay Twist and 2009’s Panabay Twist Vol 2.: La Tanda Del Bus), and videos – growing their fanbase from the ground up and worldwide.

DRESKULL | http://www.dreskull.com/
Dre Skull is a Brooklyn-based producer and DJ whose boundary-pushing conceptual attitude towards music and culture has been receiving critical acclaim since 2007. His worldwide tours and collaborations with artists as far reaching as Sizzla, Lil Scrappy, Sissy Nobby and Vybz Kartel have established him as an ambassador of culture and a producer with a pop touch. He continues to hone his craft and up the ante, with frequent recent trips to Kingston, Jamaica where he produced the critically acclaimed Vybz Kartel full length, Kingston Story, released in June 2011. Dre Skull’s future as a musical and cultural innovator seems limitless.

GEKO JONES | https://www.facebook.com/quebajoparty
Geko Jones is one half of New York City’s best Tropical Bass party, QUE BAJO!? Each month the night brings party-goers from every boro hungry for electronic-tinged folkloric music from Latin America mixed with reggae/dancehall, dub, hip-hop and more. “The melting pot of digital cumbia, dancehall, Afro-flecked house and more results in a bump ’n’ grind groove that the ladies can’t get enough of.” – Timeout New York “Top Latin Underground Party”
